Weddings don’t have to fall on a Saturday. More couples across Brighton and Sussex are choosing midweek weddings — and for good reason. A weekday ceremony can save money, open up more venue options, and create a calmer atmosphere. Here’s why it might be the perfect choice for your day. Lower Costs Without Compromising Quality Many venues in Brighton offer reduced rates for weekday weddings, and the same applies to suppliers. Choosing a midweek date means you can secure professional photography at a lower price. My affordable wedding photography packages include special midweek rates, giving you the same documentary-style coverage for less. More Choice of Venues and Suppliers Saturdays get booked quickly, sometimes years in advance. Opting for a weekday wedding means you’re more likely to secure your preferred venue, registrar, or catering team — without a long wait. Brighton Town Hall, Hove Registry Office, and many Sussex countryside venues all welcome weekday bookings. A More Relaxed Atmosphere Midweek weddings often feel smaller, calmer, and more personal. With fewer guests juggling weekend commitments, the day can be focused entirely on you and your closest family and friends. For photography, this creates a relaxed setting where natural, documentary-style images shine. Affordable Photography for Weekday Weddings Whether you’re planning a quick registry office ceremony or a full-day celebration, midweek weddings allow me to offer reduced rates. You’ll still receive a full online gallery of edited, high-resolution images — perfect for sharing and printing. See the full details on my Brighton wedding photography pricing page. If you’re planning a weekday wedding in Brighton or across Sussex, an affordable package could make your day even more memorable without the stress of overspending. I have had a few emails recently from clients wondering if I do group shots. As my wedding photography is predominantly candid, some clients have been concerned that I will not do groups shots. So, do I do group shots? The answer is a resounding YES! Whilst my photography style is candid, I do of course understand the place and importance of more formal group shots. So unless you request for me not to do any, I will of course do group shots! Group shots do not need to boring, I have ideas for more fun ones or can do any ideas you have, or if you prefer the more formal staged ones, that's fine too!! Here is the same group shot taken in two different ways.
A slightly different wedding blogged today. My day started with photographing the lovely Egle's preparations in Hove. Lukas her husband to be then arrived to escort Egle to their Blessing in Kemp town before heading off to Brighton registry office for the official marriage ceremony.

Welcome to my very new Blog. I will be updating this section with Wedding photography and Portrait photography. Whilst I am enjoying blogging, I am trying to ensure that as a photographer my pictures are doing the talking. This is why I am trying to keep my blog posts short and sweet and putting lots of images in instead. This is very hard for someone who loves a good chat!
